i was excited to take my friends to one of my favorite brunch spots, cafe colette…the best way to describe it would be as ny magazine calls it “bistro meets diner.”

how can you not love a place with fresh lemon poppy seed scones on the counter when you walk in? and the warm and bright colors, make you feel like it’s summer? great atmosphere, excellent people watching, and delicious food….

my favorite dish: poached eggs with smashed winter squash, wilted greens, leek cream, capra sardo (see it below)

what i ordered: white bean and kale stew: roasted wild mushrooms, sunny egg, grilled sourdough, parmesan
