frej is a pop-up restaurant serving a delicious tasting menu of scandinavian inspired cuisine, with local ingredients. the restaurant is within a design space called kinfolk studios, and is open only three nights a week. after a two month wait, i finally had the chance to eat here last night!

here are some pictures from our meal…an amuse bouche of cured lamb hearts (not pictured was also served.

squid – cucumber, kohlrabi, oyster

scallop – cabbage, ramp, seaweed

pike – potato, sprat, wild herbs

beef cooked in hay – parsnip, onion, garlic mustard

pork belly – this course was off menu, and i unfortunately can’t recall the details.

camomille parfait – carrot, sea buckthorn, wood sorrel
