i fell madly in love with the west coast, on my very first trip there in august. my boyfriend sean and i began our trip in san francisco and ended it in los angeles, with a quick stop in big sur.

san francisco had just about everything i could look for all in one place. i was blown away by the friendliness of the locals, the beauty of the landscape, the lovely architecture, and delicious food. mountains can be seen everywhere you turn, palm trees and flowers are everywhere, and the steep inclines of the street make for a beautiful terrain and amazing views. in the same day you can walk through the forrest, take a walk on the beach, swim in the ocean, and bike over a bridge.

first day highlights:

we went to the ferry building, a food market on the water, and had some tacos from tacolicious.

we went to the aquarium of the bay

we walked down lombard street, and admired all the beautiful vine covered homes, with gorgeous landscapes.

we finished our day with dinner at beretta. their meatballs were some of the best i’ve ever had, and the risotto with prosciutto, leeks & goat cheese was definitely worth going back for! however, they were known for their pizza, and it didn’t even come close to the best. but overall they did make up for the bad pizza with the great antipasti and cocktails.
